Am I too short to date?
I'm 28 and 5'7" I've joined several dating sites, but have little luck in
attracting women online. They all say that I'm too short. For God's sake if
Sophie Dahl can date a midget like Jamie Cullen, surely – or shortly – women
could find it in their heart to date me. Should I just wear stacked shoes like
Prince?

Of course it's not a good idea to date a girl that is taller than you. Women want to have the feeling that they are 'protected'. Try and find someone shorter than you. That should not be so difficult, since many girls are shorter than 5'7". And if even they reject you, I don't think your height is the real issue.
yeah.. anonymous is right! you should find a woman who is 5'4" or 5'5" who suits with you... when a woman is taller than you then she feels that even she is taller and she doesn't consider herself protected or may be she feels hesitation in it.... i m myself the same height as your's... but i look around myself shorter girls in height.... only the height doesn't matter there are other stuff which also play their role in your life....
Feel free to ask out or date whoever you want! Really, if a girl is going to turn you down for such a stupid reason as you're too short, then good, you don't want anything to do with her anyway.
I am 5'6" female. My boyfriend is exactly same height with me.(maybe half an inch shorter) .We have been dating for 3 years. For me he is the most charismatic man on earth. Height is just one thing.Only girls with inferior complexes care too much about physical appearance.
I'm 5'7" male and it really bothers me sometimes. However, my success with women really states otherwise. I have done relatively well in the female department. I'm never going to be the hot guy walking into a room, this I know. But I have learned that I can rock the "cute guy" thing very well. Not all girls go for it, but more do than you may initially think.
I've been on OkCupid for a few months now and I've gotten a ton of dates. Unless you are an exceptionally stunning male in the looks department, dating websites are just a numbers game. Every once in a while I'll sit down and send out 10-15 messages. Out of those maybe 4-6 reply. Out of those maybe 1-3 will give me a chance and grab a drink with me. Also, you can cheat a bit on your height...add an inch in your profile, no one can tell a 1 inch difference, especially with thick heeled shoes. No more than 1in though because then it becomes noticeable.
Also, for whatever reason, I seem to have the most luck with girls around my height range 5'6-5'8. To be honest I'm initially far more attracted to real short girls (4'10-5'1), but they never seem to reciprocate. The real shorties always seem to have a height limit of no less than 5'10, which seems strange to me but is well documented in society.
A lot of it is your character too. Push it way the fuck out of your mind when you're on a date. Just completely forget about height altogether and be a good charming person who can converse well.
If your really concerned try shoe lifts, they can add a couple of inches, I'm 6 ft but I'm short compared to my gf who is 6'3".
I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm only 5'1. My classmates are all taller than me and I don't know if I'm going to stay this height forever. I also get teased a lot so I have a low self esteem.
I'm 20 years old and my height is 5'4.
I wish I could be as tall as 5'8.
I have scoliosis, my spine stopped by grow up before 7 years.
I feel so sad, bad, unhappy when I see all tall people.
But I still praying maybe one day, in heaven.
im 16 and 6' but i am more attracted to girls under 5'5 and theyre reletivley easy to find so find you shouldnt have a problem finding a girl shorter then you. also if a girl really does like you she wont care about your height
I'm 6'3" and wishing I could be 6'6" soon. I'm only 17, but I'm a very late bloomer. #Size14
i am 16 and 6ft 1 and a slightly late bloomer i wish i were 6 ft 4...I play volleyball so it is necessary for me to be tall
